The research methods of rolling-stock behaviour during train moment on railway track are analyzed. Thenewest science publication of rolling-stock bogies hunting and wheel-set derailment examination are surveyed in this manuscript. Railway rolling-stock derailments are the results of wheels running off the rails which provide the supportand guidance. The derailment discussed in this manuscript relate only to cause of losing lateral constrain atwheel and rail surface. Railway derailments due to loss of the lateral guidance at the wheel and rail interface may classified into four major causes: wheel flange climb, gauge widening, rail rollover, and track panel shift, based on the ways that wheel-rail constrains are lost. Wide gauge, track alignment, bogie hunting, and wheels with worn treadand flanges were given special attention as they relate directly to poor wheel-rail interaction and are likely to be influenced by hollow-worn. The influence of hollow-worn wheels on vehicle stability in straight track and on the incidence and cost of derailment is examined. The wheel-set creep and creep forces impact on the train dynamic stability and curving is discovered. The interaction between train longitudinal and lateral/vertical wagon dynamics is described. The most space of the modeling longitudinal train dynamics is given to the wagons connection model. Subjections of this article are also devoted to modeling traction and rolling resistance, air resistance, curving resistance and the effect of track grades. The main advantages and weaknesses of above mentioned assessment methods of lateral/vertical and longitudinal train dynamics processes are revealed by authors. Conceivable improvement directions of wagon connection modeling for longitudinal train simulation are estimated. Finally, basic conclusions and future research guidelines are given.
