Engineering education in Lithuania

Abstract

The problems of engineering training development in postcommunist society are acute problems of today for Lithuania's engineers and students. Therefore the Senate of Vilnius Technical University has passed a resolution to periodically publish transactions on educology of engineering training. The collection of proceedings discuss such problems as the training of engineers in the past, present and future, as wel as the experience of engineering training in Lithuania and in other countries with the goal of forming both an engineer and a personality. The Editorial Board hopes that more specialists will join the discussion of our problems in engineering training. We are greatly thank to Prof. N.Bučiūtė, Assoc. Prof. R.Ginevičius, Assoc.
