dc.description.abstract | In the past few years, eco-friendly materials have brought a new perspective to the construction industry with its huge popularity. Since technology is improving day by day; construction industry also needs to catch the new era of the construction world. As a matter of fact, increasing awareness regarding using geopolymer concrete in our industry is quite essential for us to prevent the release of a substantial quantity of carbon-dioxide to the atmosphere [1]. Geopolymers, such as high-performance composites and ceramics, have been used in recent years. It is a synthetic aluminum silicate material that can be used instead of cement-based binders in the production of materials. Research shows that using ceramic waste in geopolymers is a more eco-friendly and economic way to use; comparing the using of pozzolanic cements in the construction industry [2]. Also there is research regarding Geopolymer Concrete and its properties which is examined by Vaibhav A. Kalmegh [3]. They showed the strength of Geopolymer Concrete as well as the effect of varied concentration of alkaline solution on the strength of concrete. In article authors will present the physico-mechanical properties of composites based on recycled building materials used as a substitute of natural aggregate or cement. | eng |
