Titanium and its alloys are the most frequently used materials for implants in dentistry and orthopedics due to their high degree of biocompatibility and good mechanical propertie. Successful integration of an implant is generally accepted to rely on its surface characteristics such as Chemical composition, morphology, and energy. Surface morphology is an important factor determining the long-term implant stability, especially when bone quality is poor. Porous surface improves mechanical interlocking between the implant biomaterial and the surrounding natural tissue, providing greater mechanical stability at this critical interface. This paper defines the relationship between selected parameters of laser, structure and mechanical properties of implant elements made from titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V).eng
