dc.description.abstract | The rapid development of solar power plant construction in Lithuania and other EU coun-tries was observed in recent years. The total installed solar power capacity in Lithuania has reached 70.5 MWp in 2014. The investigated solar power plant modules were installed in a stationary posi-tion with a constant angle in order to increase the amount of energy generated by the use of solar tracking systems. Two 29.4 and 29.8 kWp solar power plants made from polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules were investigated experimentally. The investigation has shown that using a single-axis so-lar tracking system can increase the amount of generated energy by 23% compared to the solar power plants with stationary fixed modules. | eng |
