dc.description.abstractThe current paper presents a research based on experimental and numerical analysis of three different frame supported by displacement pile groups embedded in sand. The vertical load tests performed under lab conditions have shown different responses of single piles installed at the same pile group, and a densification effect was named as a key player taking the main roll in explaining this phenomenon. A numerical analysis based on experimental data revealed unfavourable changes on deformation and internal forces of three different frame types caused by densification phenomenon. Performed research has emphasised the significance of soil structure interaction analysis, especially when displacement pile groups embedded in sands are used.eng
