Abstract

The Faculty of Environmental Engineering is one of the oldest and strongest VGTU departments, performing training and scientific activities on the level of the best European technical universities. Another significant feature of the Faculty – the Internationality of studies. The professors of three departments – the Department of Roads, the Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Building Energetics – are delivering lectures in English. The percentage of students leaving abroad as compared with the overall number of students of the Faculty is the largest at the University. The activity areas of the Departments of the Faculty are quite autonomous, and some of them even unique. Currently, we are successfully implementing all study programs. The scientists of the faculty are positively affecting the economy of Lithuania and the whole region, by participating in the scientific projects, performing experts’ activities, providing advice via traditional, social and digital media channels, as well as working by contracts.
