dc.description.abstract | The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has been steadily keeping its leading positions and in some areas has even extended its activities. One of the most significant achievements of the last decade was the establishment of the Institute of Mechanical Science, connecting the researchers of mechanics not only of our faculty, but also of other departments of our University. Our aim is to bring together all the researchers, capable to compete while applying for “Horizon 2020” and other scientific programmes. The establishment of the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics has proved to be successful: within a short period, the Department created the first and second cycle study programmes of Mechatronics and Robotics, gaining tremendous popularity. Technical Creativity and Innovation Centre, established by U.S. students training company HAAS, contributed a lot to the activities of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. | eng |
