dc.description.abstractAir polution is being measured now in the majority of all lager cities at present. Largest allowed concentrations are estimated for more than 1300 substances. The main dust pollution characteristics are as follows dust danger clan and largest allowed concentration (LAC). LAC for most common dusts are presented at table 1. Control methods and standards preparation principles that are being worked out in different countries are discussed. Dust generation mechanism is discussed. Industrial branches with large amounts of dusty air with high dust particles concentrations are enumerated. Though different standards and regulating documents are used in different countries, their comparison shows that there are no considerable differences between them. Quality of the applied devices and measurement methods is the essential dust control problem, as the most advanced measurement equipment is now being used only at scientific institutions and specialized laboratories.
