O problemach ekologicznych na Litwie

Abstract

The article presents the main ecological problems in Lithuania. The research was conducted among listeners of the university for adults. The subject matter of the research concerned the problems of ecological education and of globalization's and human activities' negative consequences prevention possibilities. It is shown that ecological education and environmental protection is without any doubt a necessity. Unfortunately, the practice shows that there is a large divergence between expectations of local and national authorities and financial resources offered for the goals. Propositions for improvement of the ecological education process were made. Main higher schools preparing the specialist of environment protection in Lithuania as well as importance of transboundary cooperation in international programs related to Green Lungs of Europe and Euro region Niemen were presented.
