Abstract

Small and medium enterprises are important in the economy and their competitiveness is indispensable to a country’s growth and success. Small companies are using information technology in its daily operations. One of most technology is an internet. However, one needs to keep in mind that the openness of the internet, with all its chances and opportunities for small companies, especially when it comes to communicating, exchanging knowledge and sharing information, also poses threats to these companies. Small and medium enterprises suffer from a lack of financial and human resources, time, technical expertise and knowledge. They generally have limited cash flow and sources of finance.
