dc.description.abstractAlthough the effectiveness of the agent-based modeling in simulating of socila systems had been widely discussed in an academic society for more than ten years, this is normally done by informatics specialists, not economics or management scientists. The majority of scientists agree that the fast development of the information technologies is one of the most important factors, which is changing traditional management methods. Therefore management specialists should monitor newly emerged technologies and estimate their imolementation possibilities in solving the business issues of variuos levels. The article emphasizes the possible areas of application of agent-based modeling-flows, markets, organizationand disffusion - and analyzes some practical implementation examples. The result of analysis is formulation of the main benefits of this modeling method, such as capturing of the emergent phenomena, more realistic description of the system, its flexibility and so on. In the article it is shown that the modeling system should be desgned usinf intellectual software agents, because the system is made of elements, whose individual behavior is very complex, the interactions are heterogeneous and can generate network effects. In addition, the educational institution has plenty of target markets with different needs and wants, and all them should be treated differently.eng
