The article describes the architecture psychology as development of a separate area of science from the second half of the 19th century. Meanwhile, with the growth of psychology, its methods were applied to scientific investigation of aesthetics, the environment and architecture. Beginning with H.Woelfflin's theoretical work "Prolegomena to Architecture psychology", the article discusses the most prominent works in this field. How the man experiences the enviroment of architecture and how it influences his state and existence this is the main question, which is analysed by the representatives of the field.eng
