dc.description.abstractA trilateral series of relationships among industries, government and universities is emerging in regions at different stages of development and with different inherited political, economic systems and values. As regions seek to create a self-reinforcing dynamic of knowledge-based economic development, the three institutional spheres are each undergoing an internal transformation, even as new relationships are established across institutional areas, creating hybrid organizations such as technology centers and virtual incubators. This paper represents analysis of different modifications of triple helix model, which are suggested by western scientists in the last decade. After deep analysis of situation in sector of industry of high technologies in Lithuania, the most suitable configuration of triple helix model had been offered.eng
