Abstract

In the article I analyse one of the most important and responsible periods in the individual’s life, a must of the 21st century: to apply new communication and work patterns, to adapt to the changing environment, to use the opportunities offered by IT and remote contacts, to base all the activities on information. Today’s society is information society, ready to co-live with these novelties, to integrate them into the own life, to acknowledge the fact that information search and its mastering abilities and skills become more and more important.Spectrum of electronic services and activities in the modern society is extremely wide, including new and new business models and public administration methods, new types of mass media as well as new economic and political relations. Electronic services means making information access available for the use through public web, enabling the user to carry out various actions and procedures and to participate in the economic activities. Information becomes a strong tool for the rivalry in improvement of institution’s performance in the modern world.
