Order picking process is the most laborious activity in warehouse. It consumes almost 50% of all warehouse labour activities. The study pays special attention to order picking process in a wide-aisle warehouse with the aim to identify the opportunities resulting to reduction of order picker's costs. The order picking process optimisations are analysed using simulation model. The presnted results show that picker's travel distance can be reduced by 45%, and order order picker's costs - by around 38% by using appropriate combination of optimisation methods.eng
