dc.description.abstractMonografijoje nagrinėjami Nemuno žemupio potvynių, nešmenų ir teršalų sklaidos modeliavimo teoriniai ir praktiniai klausimai. Aptarta hidraulinio matematinio ir hibridinio atvirų vagų modeliavimo praktika ir laboratoriniai tyrimų metodai. Remiantis eksperimentinių tyrimų rezultatais, išanalizuoti Nemuno žemupio užliejimo procesai, pateiktos vagos persiformavimo prognozės. Monografijoje taip pat aprašyti Nemuno deltos skendinčiųjų nešmenų dinamikos matematinio modeliavimo rezultatai, parodyta periodiškai užliejamų Nemuno pievų įtaka Kuršių marių ir Baltijos jūros vandens švarumui. Pateikti vandens tėkmių turbulentinių fluktuacijų ir teršalų susimaišymo hidraulinio modeliavimo rezultatai. Monografijos išskirtinumas yra nustatyti upių potvynio tėkmių hibridinio modeliavimo dėsningumai. Knyga skirta mokslininkams, aplinkos apsaugos specialistams ir gamybininkams. Ji, kaip mokslo žinių šaltinis, gali būti pasitelkiama doktorantūros ir magistrantūros studijoms.lit
dc.description.abstractWhen the probability of flood is 1%, 89 farmsteads are completely inundated as in a cut-off island there are 121 farmstead 38 of which find themselves in a peninsula. Annually, more than 1 million Lt damage is done by the crash of dikes and other protective measures. Moreover, the inhabitants of villages Rusne and Panemune often encounter flood danger and sometimes it leads to human casualties. Some problems were faced when regulating river beds of the Nemunas in Kaunas and the Neris in Vilnius. Some difficulties emerged when making design for wastewater treatment facilities for Kaunas and Sovetsk towns, since the solution to hydraulic issues was found only by applying hydraulic modelling for the flood water flow of different probability. As shown in the examples above, practical demand and needs were the reason for starting the study. It was necessary to improve calculation methods and models for the behaviour of flood water flow and pollutants when performing the study, i.e. to apply both physical and mathematical modelling to reconcile both approaches depending on the features of the study object and the complexity of the phenomenon. This led to the need of research study. To achieve the aim, it was necessary to analyse the target phenomenon and methods in detail which was done on the basis of the study data by other researchers as well as by the authors study. Finally, establishing application options on flood flow regulated by modelling and sediment dynamics in practical investigations were important questions to be examined.
