Ilgalaikis technogeninio radionuklido 137Cs tūrinio aktyvumo monitoringas Baltijos jūroje

Abstract

The measurement methods of the technogenic radionuclide 137Cs in the sea water were systematised. Comparison of the results from Nuclear Hydrophysical Laboratory (NHL) and those from some Baltic State laboratories was carried out. It is found that the NHL data are representative and could be used in the Baltic State laboratory data base concerning the radioactive contamination of the Baltic Sea. The experience of NHL and the obtained results can serve as a basis of participation in the Lithuania-IAEA joint project. The long-term monitoring data of the radionuclide 137Cs volume activity during the period of 1981-1999 in the Lithuanian seashore (Juodkrantė) is presented.
