Abstract

The paper presents the ways of car transportation to and through Lithuania. It describes a rational use of special vehicles for transportation of one, two, three or more cars. The equipment of such vehicles is usually made of steel channel beams with the help of electric welding technology and fastened to the basic frame of the vehicles by bolts. A method of calculations is presented for determining the forces in longitudinal - and cross-beams and their torque moments. Results of calculations are shown graphically in Fig 1, 2 and 3. Cutting strains in welded seams are also calculated. The vehicles for car transportation must meet the requirements presented in this paper and in [1, 2]. This method of vehicle calculations was verified during the exploitational tests.
