In the work it was tried to improve the economy of the diesel engine additionally supplying propane gas to the pumping manifold. The simplest way to supply gas to the diesel engine is presented. It requires the least construction and adjustment changes. The results of the experiments are presented in charts and represented graphically. The supply of gas could be up to 70% of total combustible mixture with existing diesel fuel injection moment without altering engine systems. The cost for diesel fuel was reduced from 10 to 40% during the experiment on loading characteristics and supplying the engine with 40-60 % of gas. Additional supply of gas reduces the usage of thermal energy and this indicates that burning is more effective. Changing the engine loading or revolution and trying to minimise diesel fuel consumption regulation of combustible mixture is necessary. Supplying more than 70 % of gas fuel to combustion chamber engine will work with increased noise.eng
