dc.description.abstractThe article emphasizes that in Lithuania above 70 per cent of general heat consumption of the country falls on the needs of dwelling houses and public buildings. According to the climatic parameters of a standard year, about 22 TWh of heat are needed for heating and ventilation of these buildings. It is pointed out that solution of a building as a rather complicated structure, requires optimal co-ordination of climatic and economic conditions, technical building barriers, energy consumption systems as well as their work regimes. Interaction of climate and heating demands of a building is schematically shown in the article, paying attention to the economy of energy because of accumulatory properties of barriers, the beginning of heating season as well as the assurance of interaction limits of temperature parameters. It is also pointed out that for the localities with more different climatic characteristics, technical solutions of systems should be different. For this reason, especially in the level of preparation of norms and recommendations, well-grounded application of solutions and systems or refusing systems used in other climatic zones is necessary. The knowledge of scientific preconditions of their substantiation is also necessary. Newly prepared building standards have already embraced these spheres, but the evaluation of their interaction should be improved and made more precise. The absence of hygienic requirements for the renovation of buildings is felt. As the result of the task, conclusions are formulated. They concern the interaction of climatic and lodging temperature conditions or, in other words, the interaction of climate, energy consumption systems and barrier characteristics.eng
