dc.description.abstractTechnical conditions of railway lines projecting that had and still have influence on the formation and selection of parameters of Lithuanian trackage are analysed in the article. The main conclusion issued from the analysis is that in the previous design of railway lines technical condition perspective of increasing train speeds was not evaluated. This gave huge losses when the train speed was increased. Expenses of reconstruction of present railway lines correspond to those of building new railway lines.eng
