dc.description.abstractA settlement of foundations of large dimensions is caused by a different pressure in the base soil. According to methods described in literature, inclination of such buildings should be estimated by calculating the average settlement in the opposite edges of the foundation. An average settlement is calculated by estimating the load on a certain section and a relevant module of deformations in the base soil. Average values of estimated settlement on both sides of the building do not reflect the actual positioning of the settlement, as it significantly fluctuates in places of different pressure in the base or in places of different loads affecting the base. This article analyses the impact of different base settlement on building inclination and presents an adjusted method to calculate inclination by estimating settlement in different places of the building foundation. The method indicated in the article enables to estimate a different settlement in different places of building foundation, serving as a basis to derive a plane equation. Plane inclination complies with the key inclination of the building. The plane equation serves as a basis for estimating the radius and direction of the inclination.eng
