The abundance of scientific and technical information and the speed of change in science and technology are leading to increasing internationalisation of terminology. The phenomenon covers terminological systems and subsystems of many languages. Therefore we can speak of unification of scientific terms on the world scale. On the other hand, every language is distinctive and terminology ought to support such distinction. The main guarantee of this distinction is the principle of the purity of the language when terms, as well as other words of modern language are standardised through variants and synonyms. The present Lithuanian equivalents of borrowings ought to be put into general usage actualised and more neologisms which can compete with borrowings ought to be created.eng
