Abstract

In the urban formation design, the territory of Kaunas FEZ is organized as a common complex, having an emphasized administrative zone in central area. The complexity of a big territory is the only characteristic of a FEZ that distinguishes it from other urban derivatives. The architectural expression of buildings in the territory can be individual and create the image of a company, however, it should correspond to the composition of a common urban complex. The authors of the article analyzed the approved detailed plan of Kaunas FEZ and presented an alternative design of urban formation for FEZ.
