dc.description.abstract | Any art is a creative process representing reality by means of words or pictures, sounds or colours. Decoupage is considered to be a highly elaborate style of decoration requiring different skills, reflecting various tastes and developing the feeling of harmony when combining colours and shapes. Once having been very popular in Europe the art of decoupage remains almost unknown in Lithuania, although is has survived until today. The Lithuanian language even has no Lithuanian word for naming this art and has borrowed the French word decoupage. This article is a kind of investigation into the art giving more information on the subject. | eng |
