Abstract

The aim of the paper is to overview the regulation principles of high-rise building location and define the conception of regulation and methods of historic town reconstruction. The author indicates dependence of applied methods on planning stage and juridical aspects. The present investigation includes silhouett’s meaning for the city image and analysis of experience in building regulation. The chosen principles of regulation methods should be defined according to reglamentation indicators (morphological type, average building height, high-rise building type). Dependence of teritorial image on cultural and economic priorities of urban development is also the aim of the investigation.
