Results are presented for a study of the features of pH and electrical conductivity (EC) in suspensions of microsilica (MS) of different quality. The effect of the amount of deflocculant Castament FS 20 on changes in pH and EC of these suspensions and on viscosity of the MS slurry is determined. The effect of type of MS on changes in pH and EC in cement-microsilica suspensions and on the viscosity of cement-microsilica slurries is established. The possibility is demonstrated with addition of deflocculant Castament FS 20 to use MS of lower quality in medium-cement heat-resistant concrete providing satisfactory characteristics for it.eng
