English for construction management

Abstract

The educational book English for Construction Management is intended for the undergraduates of Civil Engineering Faculty at VGTU studying English for specific purposes comprising a part of their Construction Technology and Management study programme for continuing and extended education. The tasks in the book have been designed to develop students’ linguistic and communicative skills. In the first part the texts are followed by the English– Lithuanian vocabularies and text-based exercises to facilitate the individual work in developing thematic vocabulary. The second part Practise Your English comprises the exercises and tasks directed at the linguistic and communicative specialty language skill reinforcement.

Mokomoji knyga English for Construction Management skirta VGTU Statybos fakulteto Statybos technologijų ir valdymo nuolatinių bei ištęstinių studijų programos dalies − anglų kalbos, kaip užsienio kalbos, mokymui. Pirmojoje knygos dalyje pateikiami trumpi su studijų sritimi susieti tekstai; žodynėliai anglų-lietuvių kalbomis, palengvinantys teksto supratimą; pratimai ir užduotys lingvistinių bei komunikacinių gebėjimų ugdymui, teminio žodyno įsisavinimui. Antroji knygos dalis Practise Your English skirta specialiosios anglų kalbos įgūdžiams įtvirtinti.
