dc.description.abstractThis study looks at the construction industry cluster in the Baltic Sea Region - BSR. It begins with a short definition and characteri2ation of the construction cluster followed by a situation study of construction cluster in BSR. Based on the results from the literature review and situational study, the main strengths and weaknesses of the construction cluster were assessed. Opportunities for future development of the cluster to address potential threats opportunities and threats to the BSR are presented. The STEEP framework (Social drivers, Technological drivers, Economic drivers, Environmental drivers, Political drivers) is used to identify the drivers of change each having impact on the construction cluster in BSR countries over the next decade. The Vision Statement for the construction cluster for BSR is also formulated. The vision sees construction as a growing and active cluster, supported by an efficient institutional framework encompassing all construction stakeholder groups. The study concludes with a sample solutions for construction cluster SME's. These are only two examples; there are others. The intention is to show SME's how by using various multicriteria evaluation methods and IT identify the most effective alternative out of number considered options.eng
