dc.description.abstractNaudzhuns.J., Jelisejevs B., Chygas D. Rehabilitation's validity of big precast concrete culverts. The article contains review of actualities of renewal damaged radial road culverts made of precast concrete, with distinct on reasons of damages and desirable technological criteria for their elimination. It was established, that primary reason of progressing failure is a disintegration of joints, which leads to other damages. The traditional way of culvert's renewal was examined and some serious corresponding difficulties were found (traffic disruption during roadworks, excessive administrative costs, long procedure). It was considered, that for improvement in this sector, there is a need for more effective and flexible approach, which can be achieved through performing culvert's rehabilitation in a complex of road maintenance. Study's results showed, culvert's rehabilitation can be realised in accordance with the outlined criteria, when inner lining of elastic hull is placed into the existing culvert with rigid filler between the walls. Smooth polymeric lining has less surface's friction than concrete, therefore it is possible to serve adequate hydraulic capacity for smaller apertures. The analysis showed this solution can be acceptable for long term service life by parameters of hydraulic capacity and mechanical durability if existing culvert have a cross-scetion reserve.eng
