T-.e research carried out at VGTU was to assess if teaching acccrding to the cognitive apprenticeship method '.vss efficient for developing metacognitive skills. Materials and methods. This method describes such features as indent's guided participation and the opportunities for observ-r-g. Results. The research proved that teaching rrieacoanitively facilitates the progress of metacognitive skills. Conclusions. It is important to design training :o support not only learners' knowledge acquisition, but also their metacognitive process.eng
