| dc.description.abstract | The huge commercial and entertainment centre “Mega” pretends to be the most popular attraction place in the Mid Lithuania region. The complex occupies a considerably large territory, so an automobile view is most purposeful. The outside exterior is dissociated according to the functions inside the building, so one could easily recognise a desirable zone of shopping or entertainment. Human scale is felt inside the building. The assortment of interior details is infinite and theatrical. Namely: an aquarium equipped with 200 species of tropic fish (170 l), iridescent “exhibition” of different kinds of flooring, prop metal arches in contrast to natural wooden beams. The building has not got any sense of “temporarily built storage”. It declares the best possible results of global postmodern culture. | eng |
