Abstract

The educational book Meet English Language Technical Terms has been prepared for the students, studying Mechanical Engineering. The material for the exercises in tasks is concerned with the subjects, taught at the Technical University. The book includes material for repeating, checking and correcting mistakes, about articles, adjectives, adverbs, degrees of comparison, prepositions and some groups of synonyms, used in every-day life. The final task contains an exercise for irregular verbs repeating and learning. At the end of the book new grammar theory explanation material on Gerund, Participle, Infinitive and their constructions, their use and interpretation is given. About 70% of lexical-grammar exercises can be performed using Moodle electronic system, and this allows to develop the students‘ knowledge and practical skills.

Mokomoji knyga „Meet English Language Technical Terms“ parengta studentams, studijuojantiems mechanikos inžineriją. Pateiktas kursas yra susietas su dalykais, dėstomais Technikos universitete. Yra dalis, skirta gramatikai (artikeliui, būdvardžiui, prieveiksmiui ir jų laipsniavimui, prielinksniams) pakartoti, patikrinti, klaidoms analizuoti ir taisyti. Pateikiami pratimai, padėsiantys tikrinti sinonimų vartojimą. Paskutinė leidinio dalis skirta netaisyklingiesiems veiksmažodžiams tikrinti, pakartoti, mokytis ir išmokti. Kurso pabaigoje studentams siūloma naujų gramatikos dalykų apie Gerund, Participle ir Infinitive kalbos dalis, jų konstrukcijas, funkcijas, vartojimą ir interpretavimą. Apie 70% leksinių ir gramatinių pratimų galima atlikti Moodle elektroninėje sistemoje, užtikrinant aukštą studentų žinių ir praktinių įgūdžių kokybės lygį.
