Nowadays numerical reestablishment of bundles of projective rays and models has been proposed new possibilities and capabilities for photogrammetry. For improvement of accuracy and reliability of final results we have the opportunity to optimise the geometry of photography. In this article are discussed the following main issues: functional and stochastical models, calibration of mages and cameras, accuracy and reliability. The results of experimental and practical work being carried out are proposed. Some conclusions are made that in analytical photogrammetry, using all reserves such as calibration of images, targeting of points to be measured, multiplate convergent photography, high performance equipment, formation and involving of empirical weights, the ultra hight accuracy of 1:400000 in planimetry and of 1:200000 in altimetry has been obtained. At the same time, using images gained by nonmetric camera of long focal length, respectively, the relative accuracy of 1:10000 either in planimetry or in altimetry has been attained that shows practical applicability of nonmetric cameras in close - range photogrametry.eng
