dc.description.abstractThe proposition to our readers, a Special Edition “Safety and Security in Aviation” pub-lished 5 articles by authors from Poland, Ukraine, United States, Russia and Latvia. A goal of this specific issue is to accumulate the articles which reveal the significance of searching the innovations and methods to improve the safety and security in aviation, necessity to meet the new challenges both in civil and military fields. These articles were selected, carefully revised and approved by Guest Editor Prof. Dr. Olja Čokorilo from Air Transport Department of Fac-ulty of Transport and Traffic Engineering (University of Belgrade, Serbia). Prof. Olja Čokorilo is the famous expert of safety aviation in her country and is eminent abroad as well. Despite her position as Professor of Belgrade University, she is a President of Management Board of Civil Aviation Directorate of Republic of Serbia since 2015; a Member of EASA Member States Advisory Body (MAB) and Safety Promotion Network Community since 2016.eng
