dc.description.abstractIt is known that lodgings of concrete buildings have maximum radioactivity and lodgings of wooden buildings have minimum radioactivity. According to these facts the material samples were taken in the pits. Measurements of radioactive contamination of main gravel pit, sand-pit, clay-pit and other building materials of the pits and Akmene cement were carried out. The radioactive contamination results were different in different pits. It is found out that maximum natural radioactivity was near Jurbarkas (sand-gravel-pit) and near Krunai (clay-pit). Building materials contamination by artificial radionuclides was defined.eng
