The objective of this publication is to present Pavement LCM project and main findings to road engineers society of Lithuania. PavementLCM is a 2 year international project aiming at supporting European National Road Authorities to introduce sustainability at the core of their practices by providing training on Life Cycle Management techniques and a user-friendly package to support their widespread implementation. Firstly, this project seeks to create a framework allowing to tailor sustainability assessment exercises for road pavement material manufacturers, contractors and road authorities. Furthermore, the project acted as an interactive platform to promote transfer knowledge on the best practices of sustainability assessment amongst different stakeholders. The ultimate results of PavementLCM were the Guidelines, which are based on the PavementLCM framework, covering the three pillars of sustainability assessment (environmental, economic and social) as well as functional and technical requirements, as recommended by the EN 15978. Furthermore, to guide the practioners a series of tools and resources are provided within the PavementLCM Package to support with the implementation of Life Cycle Management (LCM) practices into National Road Authorities. The results of Pavement CLM are now packaged and available through the project website (www.pavementlcm.eu) and contain: - State of the Art of SA practices - Pavement LCM framework - Pavement LCM Guidelines, Resources, and Tools containing specific tools for Data Collection (Life cycle assessment LCA, Life cycle cost, maintenance strategy) and Data Quality; Tables for the expression of results as suggested by the ENs (for LCA and LCC), case studies applied to the specific methodology proposed.eng
