Radionuklidų kaupimosi daržovėse tyrimai ir vertinimas
Abstract
Darbo apimtis – 114 p. teksto be priedų, 65 paveikslai, 24 lentelės, 84 bibliografiniai šaltiniai. Atskirai pridedami darbo priedai. In the final theses is analysed the accummulation of artificial (137Cs) and naturally occuring (40K, 226Ra, 232Th) radionuclides in segments of carrots (Daucus carota L.), table potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.), beetroots (Beta vulgaris L.), and cabbage (Brassica oleracea L.) and in composting garden waste. It establishes physical and chemical characteristics of production fields and explores possible effects these characteristics bear in accumulation of the radionuclides in segments of the above mentioned vegetables; identifies specific activities, calculates transfers (TF) and, finally, discrimination factors (DF) of artificial radionuclide 137Cs. A mathematical model has been constructed and used to assess accummulation of radionuclides in composting garden waste from experimental data. The thesis consit of seven sections – introduction, defining of the reserch object and research problem, methodology of experimental analysis, analysis of experiment results, modelling, main conclusions, recommendations and list of references. The introduction of the thesis discusses the problematics of the research, the actuality and relevance of these thesis, defines the object of the research, raises objectives and main tasks, it also argues the newness of the research work, and the importance of practical application. The first section presents and reviews scientific litreture on accumulation of radionuclides in vegetables and the determining factors. Second part introduces methodologies of experimental analysis and modelling. Third section deals with the experimental results – transfers of 137Cs, 40K, 226Ra and 232Th from soil slab to the segments of vegetables, the analysis of the results and assesment. Fourth part presents the results of mathematical modelling of composting vegetable waste, investigates external radiation from the surface of the waste piles. The these have 114 pages of text excluding appendixes, 65 pictures, 24 grids, 84 references to bibliography. Appendixes to be found bounded separately.
