Siekiant pagristi viešojo transporto prioriteto efektyvuma lyginami transporto srautai bei greiciai prieš viešojo transporto juostos irengima 2013 m. ir po jo 2014 m. Švitrigailos gatv.je. Tuomet sutaupytas laikas d.l prioriteto suteikimo paverciamas pinigine išraiška bei pateikiamos gatviu atkarpos, kuriose juostos irengimas tur.tu teigiamu pasekmiu ir viešasis transportas gal.tu jud.ti netrukdomas. The main objective of the thesis is to assess the impact of public transport prioritization to the public and private transport on Svitrigailos street in Vilnius city. The overview of the spatial planning documents emphasizes the necessity of public transport prioritization. Two sets of priority options are determined: dedicated bus lane and intermittent bus lane. In order to justify the effectiveness of public transport priority, traffic flow and speed are compared in two different periods of time: in 2013, and in 2014, when the implementation of a dedicated bus lane took place. Furthermore the time saved because of the prioritization on Švitrigailos street is converted in terms of money. This Master‘s thesis also proposes a list of street sections where to implement dedicated bus lanes and describes the benefits to the public transportation in terms of the reduction and removal of the traffic interruption. The MA thesis includes 85 p. of text, 54 figures, 25 tables, 32 sources, 3 appendices.
