Abstract

Tiriamasis darbas nagrinėja Vilniaus senamiesčio bažnyčių aplinkos planinę erdvinę raidą svarbiausių epochų kaitoje. Pagrindinis darbo tikslas – atskleisti Vilniaus senamiesčio bažnyčių aplinkos erdvinės planinės raidos ypatumus, raidos tradiciją, šventorių vaidmenį miesto aplinkoje, nagrinėjant ne tik šventorius, bet ir visą artimiausią bažnyčios (kaip komplekso dalies) aplinką. Baigiamajame darbe apibrėžiamos su nagrinėjamais objektais susijusios sąvokos, tyrimo ribos, reikšmingiausieji aspektai ir objektai. Tyrimas atskleidžia, kad Vilniaus senamiesčio šventorius – tai viešoji erdvė, turinti būdingus elementus ir savybes. Šie elementai sudaro laisvai stovinčių pastatų ir statinių, monumentaliosios dailės kūrinių, mažosios architektūros elementų, želdynų grupes. Apibūdinti Vilniaus senamiesčio šventorių formavimo tradicijos ypatumai, jos erdvinė architektūrinė raiška, pokyčiai dabartiniame laikotarpyje. Nustatyta, jog šiuo metu dalis Vilniaus senamiesčio šventorių yra praradę savo pirminę funkciją ir tapę daugiafunkciais urbanistiniais dariniais.

The master thesis analyses the development of layout and space in the settings of the churches in the old town of Vilnius in the most important epochs. The main object of the thesis is to reveal the peculiarities, development tradition of layout and space in the settings of the churches, the role of the churchyard in the environment of the old town. The thesis analyses churchyards and the inner circles of the churches also. The master thesis determinables main conceptions, concerned with the main objects, investigation range, the most significant aspects. The analysis reveals the aspect of a churchyard as a public square, having typical characteristic elements. These elements compounds free-standing buildings, the fine arts, details of architecture, greenery groups. The development tradition of layout and space in the settings of the churches, the role of the churchyard in the environment of the old town, the planar spatial expression of this tradition, changes in the main epochs are revealed. The thesis identifies, that nowadays a part of the settings lost their primary function and became a polyfunctional urban derivatives.
