The invention relates to a hail simulator for testing solar cells and a method to simulate the impact of atmospheric precipitation, for example, hail on the solar cell’s surface. The device and method are to be used to test the resistance of the solar modules to atmospheric precipitation, and may also be used for other purposes where simulations of similar rhythmic or chaotic impact series on the surface are required.
