Santrauka
“I am leaving my position with a fair amount of peace of mind about the bright future of Vilnius TECH”, says Alfonsas Daniūnas, Rector of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), as he approaches the end of his second term of office. He makes no secret that when he ran for the position back in 2011, he was well aware of what lays ahead, thus, working seven days a week and staying up late was not an unexpected challenge – it was the price to pay for the University’s growth. We talk to A. Daniūnas about his 10-year career as a rector, the work he has done and the changes he has witnessed.
