Dr. Eglė Marčiulaitienė: „Turime teisę į švarų, bekvapį orą“
Abstract
“So far, there is no device, created to restore a human being‘s reaction to odours,” – said Dr. Eglė Marčiulaitienė, opening the door of VGTU Odour Research Laboratory, which is the most modern laboratory in Lithuania. Seventeen years ago, the scientist, responsible for the odour laboratory, started her career as a student of Environmental Protection Engineering. Now she is still working in the odour research. It is a new and interesting area of research, especially when using unique odour research equipment. “Odour regulations and problem solutions remain a novelty in Lithuania. Our society has too little knowledge about the right to clean and odourless air, no matter, whether the odour is emitted from a waste management company, or from a chocolate factory,” - says the scientist, who greatly contributed to the preparation of studies of odour assessment and management in Lithuania.
