In order to ensure the concept of green logistics, the aim is to automate all processes, to move them to the electronic space, etc., thus moving closer to e-logistics. However, today's current situation is a good reminder of the fact that online space is a place where fake news is widespread and can cause a significant damage not only to individuals, but also to companies. This article analyses the following at the theoretical level: the concept of fake news and the preconditions for its emergence, the types and characteristics of fake news, the purposes of its use and its possible sources. The practical part presents the results of quantitative studies carried out in 2020 and 2022 seeking to assess how people working in the logistics sector deal with fake news, whether they manage to spot it, etc. The study found that people working in this sector do not have sufficient skills to identify fake news and that companies should pay more attention to educating their employees on this issue.eng
