dc.description.abstractAccording to the author, the development of the railway system in a country is best determined by the ratio of the length of the railway to the area of that country, the population and the gross domestic product. Using this principle, the author analyzes the railway development of the 10 longest railway states in the world. The regularity of the length of the state railways correlated with the railway development indicators calculated by the author was observed in the research. In the case of the 10 countries with the longest railways, the values of the railway development indicator proposed by the author vary according to the law close to the normal distribution.eng
