CONCLUSIONS. 137Cs specific activity values decrease exponentially in locations of intensive agricultural and gardening activity. On the other hand, the increase of 137Cs specific activity at Paaliosė field (Neris Regional Park) is observed at 10–15 cm depth associated with this global radionuclide fallout. This phenomenon is not expressed in community gardens, where the arable soil layer is under intensive remix activity. The reason of 137Cs specific activity increases in Stabatiškė field could be that of a local pollution. 90Sr highest specific activity values have been investigated in places where human activity is minimal set up to 8 cm depth and 8 cm from the observed decline. The results of 90Sr specific activity in the soil reflect the natural vertical migration processes at research sites where farming has not been disturbed by the processes of nature course or affected minimally. 40K specific activity in the soil samples taken from the park and meadows have displayed decrease due to the soil depth. While increasing depth of 40K SA inverse phenomenon has been observed.
