Abstract
In the paper these chemical, physical mechanical and structural parameters of ceramic samples are determined experimentally: chemical clay composition, density, compressive strength, general contraction, reserve of pore volume, degree of structural inhomogeneity, maximum rate of capillary wetting front, capillary rate of mass flow, total open porosity. The statistical analysis of data is performed and empirical equations derived, showing the interdependence of material mix composition and physical-mechanical, structural parameters. The examples of application of the derived empirical equations in practice are presented.
