While developing the landscape architecture standards, it is impossible to give a definite answer what development methods to use in a state park. The state the park's idiosyncrasies, such as the value of the general characteristics of the geographic location, architecture and natural heritage sites' quantity, quality, how historical or newly designed buildings blend into the landscape and other similar criteria must be assessed. State parks are created in the most valuable natural and cultural Lithuanian territories in order to preserve the natural and cultural heritage, to adapt it for people's wholesome vacation, learning. However, the growing need for people to live in the most beautiful Lithuanian territories has created a conflict between the state parks and the implementation of the objectives of human consumerist approach to the surrounding environment suitable for life in the territory. Landscape standards' goal of development is to create the conditions for full-fledged existence for all forms of the landscape, elements and activities in the cultural landscape of the structure.eng
