Stiprindamas ryšius su absolventais, universitetas suaktyvinta ir keičia savo veiklą – naujais būdais siekiama dar stipriau suvienyti daugiau nei 70 tūkstančių absolventų. VGTU, atnaujinęs alumnams skirtą portalą, kviečia absolventus apsilankyti specialiai jiems surengtuose susitikimuose ir kurti naujas bendravimo tradicijas. ASSOC. PROF. DR. STASYS DAILYDKA: “I HAVE BEEN ALWAYS IN TOUCH WITH THE UNIVERSITY”. When asked about the success formula, Stasys Dailydka, a Director General of a company “Lithuanian Railways” answered by a wordly wisdom – be truthful and appreciate surrounding people. “My rule number one is to be a decent person, treat other people decently and have the same people by my side. It might be very difficult to be truthful, especially for a leader. Nevertheless, I try to stick to this rule in every situation.” ROBERTAS DARGIS: “IF YOU CAN DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE THE SOCIETY, YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOUR MISSION ON THE EARTH HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED” Robertas Dargis, a founder and Chief Executive of company “Eika” and head of Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists, claims that the most important thing in life is to find some time and ask yourself what is your true way of life. Very often people run from this issue and avoid addressing it. How do you imagine yourself after 5 years? It is very often to receive the answer that he or she has not considered this yet. GIEDRIUS DZEKUNSKAS: HUMAN VALUES ARE NOT CHANGING THROUGHOUT LIFE. The former head of Barclays IT Centre Giedrius Dzekunskas graduated from the Faculty of Electronics with the engineer’s diploma in the first years of independent Lithuania. “Our professors were great personalities, loving their job. In my opinion, they have created a University of the highest level. Not only the erudition of the professors impressed me, but also their respectful approach to the students, and the desire to teach them,” – with a smile says VGTU graduate Giedrius Dzekunskas.
